Cesme Marina - A Seasonal Update from Autumn 2024

Cesme Marina is a haven of activity each season. To offer a recap from Autumn 2024, here is a round up of special events that took place at our award-winning destination.

On 20th of October, SKAL International World Congress which is among the world’s most important tourism organizations, was held in İzmir attracted great attention with the participation of over 200 foreign tourism professionals from 37 countries and 187 distinguished Turkish tourism professionals. As part of the congress, a special tour was organized to showcase the cultural heritage, rich gastronomy, natural beauties, and unique architectural structures of Çeşme and Alaçatı. As a group of 150 participants, they also visited Çeşme Marina. The group took a collective photo and concluded their visit by touring the marina.

The Republic Cup on the 101th Anniversary of the Republic of Turkey started from Çeşme Marina on October 26. The race started with the signal given by Çeşme Coast Guard Commanding Officer Major Akın Satkan. Chief Judge Eşref Uzun and EAYK Commodore Ramazan Karakundakoğlu were also present at the start ceremony. The race following the Çeşme-Izmir offshore route, featured 18 yachts that started at 9:40 AM on the morning of October 27 in Çeşme Marina. After rounding Çandarlı, they docked at the İzmir Marina, where a festive award ceremony was held, marking a spirited celebration.

Çeşme Marina provided meaningful support to the “Sakız Ağacım Çeşme” project, initiated by Çeşme Municipality and the Çeşmeköy Agricultural Development Cooperative. During the event held on December 5th, World Soil Day, we contributed by planting 100 mastic tree saplings. As part of our commitment, we will donate another 100 mastic tree saplings in 2025. We are proud to be part of this collaboration, which aims to enrich the region’s ecosystem and agricultural production.
